Objectives Hands-on knowledge in handling of RF components and measurement equipment required for the development of radar systems; Practical implementation of different radar concepts; Comparison of theory and measurement by signal evaluation in MATLAB.
Subject - characterization of typical RF components used in radar systems
- automation of RF measurement equipment via GPIB
- practical implementation of FSCW, FMCW, and Doppler radar systems
- measurement of range, velocity, and position
- system modelling, noise analysis, influence of practical hardware imperfections
- DFT based signal processing algorithms in MATLAB, including two-dimensional analysis for range-Doppler and beamforming applications
