Objectives |
Get in touch with elementary concepts, terms, definitions and assumptions of the most important physical theories, understanding the mathematical and logical construction of these theories and how they are applied to specific physical systems.

Subject |
Mathematical Methods in Physics: Recapitulation and extension of vector algebra, analysis and
calculus, tensor calculus, curvilinear coordinates, ordinary differential equations, functions of complex variables, Fourier transformations, Dirac delta distribution.
Theoretical Physics: I. (Mechanics): mechanics of point particles and rigid bodies, constants of motion, analytical mechanics, introduction into mechanics of the continuum, nonlinear
dynamics. II. (Quantum Mechanics): Basic assumptions, Schrödinger equation for one particle, use of symmetry, approximate methods, identical particles and exchange interaction, the principle of chemical bond. III.
