Original study plan Initial study programme Management MBA 2012W
Objectives (*)By the end of this course participants will understand the special dynamics of leading and cooperating in highly diverse teams, and how to manage these dynamics as team leaders.
Subject (*)Students will be more aware of the impact that cultural values, individual preferences and distance play on behavior, and the advantages and disadvantages that such factors can bring in terms of team productivity. Building on the work of Hellmut Santer, participants will understand more about themselves, and the impact that they can have on fellow team-members when behaving ‘normally’. They will also learn what strategies to employ for meeting critical challenges in managing other team members – such as giving feedback, selecting and optimizing modes of communication, handling first meetings, using diversity for higher performance.
