Objectives The students have knowledge of economic and business contexts and special features of the digital economy and the interface to supply chain management. The field of the digital economy is characterized by the intensive use of digital computer technology as well as by the associated (network) connections of databases, processes, devices, machines, people and companies. They know business models, products and services of the digital economy as well as the resulting consequences for companies, consumers, supply chains and competition regulators. Students understand the mechanisms of supply chains. They have advanced knowledge of the necessary concepts, methods and models of supply chain management to support data-based entrepreneurial decisions and their significance, especially in the context of digitalization.
