They are able to apply data mining methods and tools to systematically analyze business processes and corporate data, aiming at linking the data to discover potentially new knowledge on frequent patterns and/or discontinuities. They are able to model and solve basic decision and optimization problems with appropriate tools. They are familiar with the most important quantitative empirical methods and can apply these tools to different problems in business and economics.
