Objectives |
Good comprehension of the basics of measurement technology which are taught in the lectures "Sensors and Instrumentation 1" and "Sensors and Instrumentation 2"; Development of the ability to assemble electrical circuits independently and to characterize their behaviour.

This course covers the following topics:
- Bridge circuits (characterization of unknown impedances)
- Measurement amplifiers (basic operational amplifier circuits, instrumentation amplifier)
- Analog-digital, digital-analog converter
- Current measurement through field measurements (Hall effect sensor, magneto-resistive sensor, flux meter)
- Resistive strain gauge
- Temperature measurement
- Flow measurement
- Pressure measurement
- Rotational speed measurement (tacho sensor, inductive sensor, fork light barrier sensor, Reed relais)

Criteria for evaluation |
Immanent examination situation, additionally short written exams at the beginning of each lab exercise and lab reports. Final exam consists of the independent reproduction of a lab exercise.
