Ziele The objectives are twofold: First, the course has been designed to provide students with detailed and in-depth knowledge in regards to the behavioral aspects of and within organizations, including individual perception, group processes, motivation, and leadership. Students should be able to understand and reflect on key concepts and theories as well as substantiate their arguments with appropriate theoretical knowledge. Secondly, the course is designed to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge they learn and further reflect on its usefulness in leadership situations. Case studies and movie analysis are used to exemplify practical managerial problems and students are encouraged to discuss solutions for problems in lieu of appropriate theories. Furthermore, the course trains students how to absorb and apply theoretical knowledge in order to successfully analyze and structure practical problems.
Lehrinhalte Key theories and concepts in organizational behavior; case studies are discussed for each key topic during weekly lectures; selected topics are discussed and reflected upon with the aid of visual materials.
