(*)Students will be able to conduct hands-on experiments in basic electrochemistry and understand the underlying principles. They will also be able to explain, analyse and present the results of their experiments.
Fertigkeiten Kenntnisse
(*)Upon completion of the course, students will be able to • understand and conduct basic electrochemical experiments. (k2, k3) • measure and interpret potential in electrochemical systems. (k3, k4) • determine and analyse the conductivity of various solutions. (k3, k4, k5) • operate and troubleshoot experimental stations effectively and safely. (k3, k6) • evaluate and report the experimental findings independently. (k5, k6) (*)Underlying concepts and details of: • Measurement of electrochemical potentials. • Charge transport in electrolyte solutions. • Measurement of pH using potentiometric methods. • Redox titrations using potentiometric techniques. • Reference electrodes in electrochemical measurements.
Beurteilungskriterien (*)Oral interviews and successfull operation of each experiment.
