Objectives |
Students will possess tools and techniques to understand a digital society from an interdisciplinary point of view and will be able to analyze, discuss, and process key phenomena from an interdisciplinary perspective. Furthermore, students will acquire the ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.

Subject |
Introduction to interdisciplinary methods (e.g., developing and addressing various questions related to a phenomenon) and teaching of digital communication skills (e.g., writing scientific blog posts). Theoretical and practical-empirical work on a specific topic in an interdisciplinary team. Topics include socially relevant phenomena of the digital society at the intersection of technology-society and art (e.g., online communities, platforms, cyberbullying, media representation of certain events, or digital utopias and dystopias).

Criteria for evaluation |
Active participation, contributions to discussions, results of project work.

Methods |
Engagement with lectures by experts (e.g., at the ARS Electronica Festival), participation in discussions, short presentations by the course instructors, project work (e.g., creating contributions in a course blog).
