Objectives The course gives an overview of the most important foundations to business processes and business models. The students are able to characterize, evaluate, and improve business processes. Students understand the business model concept and learn approaches for modelling and management of business models.
Subject What is a business process? Overview of the key business processes in an enterprise; process-structure-transparency, process-performance-transparency, process-redesign and continuous process improvement; business models as a management concept, structures of a business model; management of business models, case studies
Criteria for evaluation Active participation in course, home work, presentation and seminar work
Methods There are theoretical inputs and exercises in small groups and phases of critical reflection and discussion to achieve the teaching and learning objectives.
