Objectives
Students have a competent knowledge of Logistics Management, based on the basis of business economics. Students are able to develop and apply information systems for production and logistics in collaboration with business economists.
Students are familiar with main aspects in development and evaluation of strategies in production and logistics management as well as possible options for the definition of products and production systems. They know planning tasks and methods in operations management and how to make use of appropriate methods for typical practical planning problems. Students are also able to apply methods in strategic and tactical production and logistics management as well as in transportation management. They can analyse problems in supply chain management. Students can make use of their knowledge in case studies, management games and planning software.

The courses „KS Produktion“ (3 ECTS) and „KS Logistik und Supply Chain Management“ (3 ECTS) from the bachelor’s degree program “Business & Economics” are required for the master courses of this subject and can be used as well, if they are not yet completed within the bachelor’s degree.
