Objectives
The module focuses on theoretically sound examinations of leader-member-relations (leadership) in the organizational context.It facilitates students to interpret and reflect on the academic discourse in the field of leadership (including gender-related aspects of leadership) and to craft as well as to present academic manuscripts. It facilitates students to assess the relevance of current academic works in the field of leadership to cope with practical challenges.

Leaders, Groups, and their Organizational Environment: Understanding various concepts of leadership embedded in organizational dynamics; group-dynamics and teamwork-management as a link between individual and organizational concepts; analyzing complex organizational and group processes comprehensively and against the background of various groups of employees with diverse needs to deduce all-embracing leadership implications; HRM concepts and their link to organizational issues concerning structure as well as strategy; in-depths discussions of advanced topics in group dynamics, organizational behavior.
