Objectives |
Students will acquire basic design skills in the field of digital media, particularly on the web, learning to coordinate graphic drafting principles with design opportunities in current coding (currently HTML5).

Criteria for evaluation |
Grading will based on the progression of a multi-media project in the student's personal web space at the Institute of Data Processing (SOWI Faculty) and the continual documentation of the student's work in the student's personal learning blog.
Project requirements include:
- Documented draft described in the student's personal learning blog
- Prototype as graphic draft
- Prototype in HTML index design
- Execution as HTML 5 taking semantic coding and accessibility into account.
- Adding mult-media components (animation and videos)

Methods |
Lecture on selected topics by instructor. Continual documentation of student work and project presentations (topic will be agreed upon with the instructor). Discussion of interim results.
