Polymeric Materials 2: Polymer additives
Basics in additivation and formulation of polymeric materials.

Practical Course in Chemistry for Plastics Engineering 2
Further examples from research in the field of polymer chemistry.

Chemistry and Technology of Silicone Elastomers
Fundamentals, manufacturing and use of silicone elastomers.

Polyolefins
Foundations, production and application of polyolefin.

Organic semiconducting polymers
The lecture covers the production and characterization methods and structure-property relationships, applications and market situation of major classes of organic semiconductor polymers.

Fundamentals of reaction engineering, important basic chemicals and intermediates, chemical technology of high polymers.

Basic concepts of entrepreneurial activity and explaining the business value circuit. Introduction to the essential operational functions: business management, financial management, production management, capacity utilization / Marketing, Information Systems and Management Accounting as well as constitutive framework decisions (choice of the legal form of a company, site selection, content of a business plan).

Semiconductor and Solid State Physics
Analytical calculations based on examples from the areas of polymer technologies, engineering and building physics. Teaching the basic concepts of solid state physics with emphasis on semiconductor physics.

Bionics - biomimetic Materials and Polymers
Biomimetic strategies, nanoparticles and nano-fabrication, Template-generation inorganic materials organoceramic nanocomposites, ceramics and biogenic additives, tissue engineering, Bionic surfaces, polymers as a material in bionics.

Technical Biopolymers
The lecture describes the classification, preparation and properties of engineering biopolymers. In addition, the market situation and legal aspects of engineering biopolymers are addressed.

Technical Polymeric Materials
Main applications of engineering polymers, synthetic concepts of the most significant classes of polymers aspects of the economic efficiency in terms of cost-benefit relationships, polymerization processes, synthetic polymers, biopolymers.

Natural Fiber Composites
This course introduces all participants into the topic of processing, development of recipes, fundamentals and correlations of natural fibre reinforced polymers (NFC – Natural Fiber Composites, WPC – Wood Polymer Composites). Also the historical evolution, possible applications and current research topics will be discussed.

Introduction to the chemistry of plastics
