Objectives Students can apply the knowledge acquired on the basic and core competence education and apply their developed skills solving practical or scientific task in Information Systems. Students are able to handle characteristic topics from the core areas Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering, and Communications Engineering in a self-managed way. They are able to acquire the required state-of-the art knowledge from the current literature, and present work results in written and oral form. Basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature review, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific knowledge are mastered.
Subject The course content and thematic orientation of the courses are based on the current developments and trends in research and development of Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Data & Knowledge Engineering or Communications Engineering.
Further information The written paper will be evaluated, its presentation, and participation in discussion as well as reflection on the seminar topics will be assessed. Two of the following Proseminars have to be completed in aspect of economic computer science in the context of the subject.
