Objectives |
The course aims at providing students with a general overview of operational bank risk by focusing on risks that play a key role for regional banks in particular. The course also explores credit, market, liquidity and operational risks.
After the successful completion of the course, students will better understand the basics of risk management in retail banking, be familiar with state-of-the-art methods in regards to key "bank risks", as well as success factors of operational risk management in banking.

Subject |
The course focuses on the identification, classification, quantification, control, and regulation of operational bank risks.
In addition to the development (and organizational development classification) of risk management at banks, the course will also explore legal frameworks (Basel II and Basel II in particular).
