Objectives |
UGE2 as a course about Entrepreneurial Finance is designed to help managers make better investment and financing decisions in entrepreneurial settings. The course objective is to provide participating students with an understanding of theoretical concepts with regard to Corporate Venturing and StartUp Financing. Students should be in a position to reflect on financial planning topics in Entrepreneurship and have the ability to prepare and implement a financial plan or the valuation of a company.

Subject |
This course focuses on central aspects of learning from entrepreneurs as well as implementating entrepreneurial actions in startups and/or established organizations. Special topics of Entrepreneurship research including Corporate Venturing, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Portfolio Entrepreneurship are also part of the course, as well as the change management processes at SMEs.

Criteria for evaluation |
Written exam 100%, 50% must be achieved for a positive grade

Methods |
In order to attain the course's educational goals, the course focuses alternately on theoretical input as well as the presentation of guest speakers, followed by sessions of critical reflection and discussion
