Original study plan |
Master's programme Polymer Technologies and Science (PTS) 2013W |
Objectives |
This exercise class introduces students to the practical lightweight design with composite materials, particularly to the strength analysis of laminated fiber-reinforced polymers.
|
Subject |
performance of fiber-reinforced polymers and an their advantages/disadvantages compared to metal materials / material properties and the elastic material law (classical laminate theory) / analysis of simple composite parts by the use of the engineering constants / strength and degradation analysis of laminated composite materials
|
Criteria for evaluation |
Selected examples are calculated on the blackboard. Additionally PowerPoint-slides are provided for download including the basic content of the exercise classes.
|
Methods |
Written exam (working time 45 minutes)
