Competences |
Students are familiar with basic scientific working techniques that are commonly used in educational research or subject-didactic research (in particular the techniques of literature research, literature management/referencing using bibliographic software, and the creation of literature reviews). In addition, they are able to conceptualize and critically reflect on educational science and didactic research questions and designs.

Knowledge |
- Students know basic working techniques of educational research / subject-specific didactic research - especially with regard to the method of literature reviews - (k1) and their potential with regard to the identification of relevant research questions in the subject (k3).
- Students can develop educational science / subject-specific didactic research questions on the basis of the findings from the literature review (k3) and develop a scientific exposé on this basis (k6).
- Students are able to critically analyze the working techniques covered in the course (k4), assess the suitability of the chosen research approach in relation to the research context, such as research questions and test subjects (k5), and develop independent research designs for their own dissertation project (k6).
