Students master the methods and tools of a specialized area of business informatics and are able to develop theoretical and practical solutions and to present the results of their work orally and in writing in accordance with the state of the art.

- LO2: Students are able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the individual subjects of the Bachelor's degree program in Information Systems in an integrative manner to solve practical or scientific problems in Information Systems (K3).
- LO3: Students are able to work independently on typical business informatics topics based on the current state of the art. They can acquire the necessary specialist knowledge in line with the state of the art using current specialist literature and present the results of their work professionally in writing and orally (K3).
- LO4: Students are proficient in basic techniques of scientific work, namely literature research, structured evaluation of scientific work and presentation of scientific findings. (K3)

LO1: Knowledge corresponding to the thematic orientation of the course, which is based on current developments and trends in the science and practice of business informatics in the context of digital transformation.

Criteria for evaluation |
Quality of presentation; active participation in the discussion of seminar topics; quality of term paper (bachelor thesis).

Methods |
Scientific work on a topic in business informatics und writing of a bachelor thesis. The students results are presented and thoroughly discussed in the course.

Study material |
The required reading focuses on the individually selected topics of bachelor theses. Students are allowed access to common Digital Libraries (e.g., ACM, IEEE and SpringerLink), and may also utilize the reference libraries of the Departments of Business Information Systems.
