Competences
Students can apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the foundational and core competence courses to solve practical or scientific problems in business informatics and independently work on typical topics in the core area of software engineering.
Skills Knowledge
  • LO2: Students are able address typical topics in the core area of software engineering on their own. They can acquire the necessary state-of-the-art specialized knowledge using current scientific literature and professionally present their results in written and oral form (K3).
  • LO3: Fundamental techniques of scientific work, including literature research, structured analysis of scientific papers, and presentation of scientific findings, are mastered (K2).
LO1: The thematic focus and content of the course are aligned with current developments and trends in software engineering research and practice.
Criteria for evaluation Assessment is based on a written term paper, an oral presentation and the participation in discussions and reflection of topics.
Methods An essential skill in writing scientific papers is the self-directed exploration of unfamiliar subject areas. To develop this skill, participation in the proseminar is self-guided, utilizing provided resources and interactive inputs and exercises during in-person sessions.
