(*)- Calibration of the confocal volume with fluorescent standards
- Design and conduction of a typical FCS measurement of the labeled biopolymer
- Data processing using physical diffusion models
|
(*)Characterization of fluorescently labeled macromolecules, specifically, their diffusion coefficient, concentration and oligomeric state;
Obtaining the reconstitution efficiency of fluorescently labeled membrane proteins.

(*)The course is part of a comprehensive experimental cycle in membrane transport protein research, covering key stages of investigation. This cycle includes protein production and reconstitution into vesicles (“Overexpression, Purification, and Functional Analysis of Reconstituted Membrane Proteins”), assessment of reconstitution efficiency (“Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy”), and functional characterization of the protein (“Single Channel Recordings”). Participation in the other two thematic courses is recommended but not mandatory.
