Competences
Students are able to describe essential elements of energy management standardisation as well as current trends and developments in energy management in industry, in the building sector and in scientific literature.
Skills Knowledge
The students can: - list the most important components of ISO 50001 (k1) - present (k1) and explain (k2) ESG guidelines for industrial companies - describe and explain relevant elements for planning, implementing and assessing the effectiveness of energy management systems (k2) - outline and explain corrective and improvement measures in energy management (k2) - analyse scientific literature on energy management (k3) - assess the scientific quality of papers on a given topic (k4) - present, discuss and defend the results of literature research and derive key conclusions for further research and development (k5) Basic concepts and details: - on organisational energy policy - on the implementation of energy audits - for the implementation and continuous improvement of energy management systems in the materials manufacturing and processing industry
Criteria for evaluation Assessment criteria include:

  • 30% result of the seminar presentation
  • 70% result of the written exam

  • Lectures (involvement of experts from industry)
  • Seminar on given topics
