Learning Outcomes
Competences
Students are able to create, evaluate and analyze models of manufacturing systems. They will be able to assess the properties of manufacturing systems consisting of several interlinked manufacturing machines and derive a possible product portfolio.
Skills Knowledge
Specifically, they can

  • model, simulate and evaluate interlinked manufacturing systems (k3, k4)
  • create NC-CNC control codes for selected tasks (k3, k4)
  • model typical automatable functions of interlinking manufacturing equipment, such as workpiece transport or tool handling (k3, k4)
  • recognize and specify the requirements for interfaces between machine tools (k3, k4)
  • understand and apply selected aspects of production control technology (k3, k4)
  • Models of manufacturing systems or interlinked machine tools
  • Automated functions of manufacturing systems
  • NC-CNC technology
  • Interfaces of machine tools (physical and information interfaces – data transfer protocols)
  • Workpiece and tool handling by robots
  • Production control technology
  • Material flow systems
