Students are able to apply the methods of solution finding techniques and the evaluation of solutions of technical problems to selected tasks in product development.

  • Creativity (basics, characteristics)
  • Methodical approach (basics, methodology, tools)
  • Creativity and solution finding techniques (conventional methods, brainstorming and brainwriting and their variations, methods of creative orientation and confrontation, systemic structuring, ...)
  • Suitability of the respective techniques with regard to elementary and concrete problem types
  • Solution evaluation (utility value analysis, technical-economic evaluation, failure mode and effects analysis, complexity evaluation, ...)
