Competences
Students should be able to analyze the behavior of electromagnetic fields and electrical networks and be able to classify and solve corresponding problems on the basis of fundamental theorems.
Skills Knowledge
  • Be able to set up basic equations for problems in electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrodynamics and network theory and apply solution approaches (k4-k6)
  • Assess basic properties of electromagnetic fields for specific situations (excitations and boundary conditions) (k4-k6)
  • Develop solution strategies for electromagnetic field problems based on acquainted knowledge (k4-k6)
  • Electrostatic and Magnetostatic Fields
  • Quasistationary Fields (Inductors, Capacitors)

The level of the treatment is that of the references given.

Criteria for evaluation Written examination including theory and calculations, subsequent oral exam (if written examination has been passed). The final grade will be awarded based on the results of both examinations.
