Learning Outcomes |
Competences |
Students know and understand radar basics like radar-equation and radar-cross section and fundamental radar principles like continuous wave or pulse radars and can derive evaluation procedures for the widely used (e.g. in automotive radars) FMCW radar w.r.t. detection (CFAR), distance and velocity (2D-FFT), as well is angle of arrival (AoA) digital beamforming.
Students know basics around statistical detection, constant false alarm rate, frequency estimation, matched filter, ambiguity function, as well as thereof derived principles, like synthetic aperture (SAR), cooperative or modulated reflector measurements.
