Criteria for evaluation Students will be assessed through the completion of an individual seminar thesis focused on sustainable business models within the context of the plastic industry. This seminar thesis constitutes 100% of the final grade. Through this method, students will have the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and insights to investigate a particular research question pertaining to sustainable business model innovation in the plastic industry.
Methods The seminar employs various teaching and learning approaches carefully tailored to the seminar’s content. Specifically, these methods encompass:

  • Real-life examples drawn from industry practices and case studies will be incorporated to illustrate theoretical concepts. Through engaging with these examples, students will gain insights into practical applications of sustainable business models in addressing challenges along the entire value chain of the plastic industry.
  • In-class and online discussions will provide opportunities for students to critically analyze and debate various aspects of sustainable business model innovation in the plastic industry. These discussions will be facilitated by the teaching personnel and encourage active engagement among students.
  • Engagement with scholarly articles will rely on students’ self-directed learning to explore and critically engage with relevant literature.
