Competences
Students are able to practically and methodically apply the knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, put the results of their work in context with relevant literature and document them clearly in their work. They are able to describe the results of their work in a written Bachelor's thesis according to scientific criteria.
Skills Knowledge
Students are able to

  • elicit and specify the requirements for the bachelor's thesis (K3, K6)
  • implement a solution for the specified problem in an efficient, elegant, maintainable and user-friendly way (K5, K6)
  • systematically test the solution (K3)
  • write a bachelor's thesis describing the requirements, the design, the implementation and the test of the bachelor's project according to scientific standards (K3, K6)
The knowledge is derived from the contents of the individual courses of the Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science.
Criteria for evaluation Evaluation criteria are the correctness, elegance and maturity of the solution as well as the clarity of the written thesis.
Methods Independent literature research; Solution of a practical problem using Computer Science methods; Written presentation of the solution in a bachelor's thesis.
