- describe and explain recent research directions and topics in nanoscience and nanotechnology (k2/k3);
- critically assess and analyze recent research results (k3/k4);
- present their research to a large audience (k4/k5).

(*)During the course, students will acquire knowledge in concepts and current research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The topics will vary depending on the speakers of the Nanoforum and will cover:
- modern tools for nanofabrication;
- novel nanomaterials and nanostructures;
- mechanical, electronic and magnetic properties of nanostructures;
- tools for nanocharacterization and theoretical modelling;
- nanostructure applications.
