(*)The lecture on Catalysis and Reaction Mechanism is dealing with the elucidation of reaction mechanisms in catalytic process and chemical reactions in general. The basic strategies to elucidate reaction mechanism will be detailed and the utilization of chemical as well as spectroscopic methods and tools for the investigation of details of (catalytic) reactions. The methods will be demonstrated in selected important reactions.
