Learning Outcomes
Competences
After successfully completing the course, students are able to independently construct electronic circuits for the measurement of physical quantities. Students are able to estimate measurement uncertainties and systematic errors, and critically evaluate possible sources of errors and external interferences.
Skills Knowledge
Upon completing the course, students learn the following skills. They are able to

  • design and dimension simple transistor circuits and measuring amplifiers (k1-k3);
  • build the corresponding circuits in the laboratory (k3);
  • measure and evaluate characteristic properties of the circuits (k4/k5).
During the course, students acquire basic knowledge in the following areas of electronic measurement technology. In particular, they learn how the following electronic circuits and components work:

  • transistor-based current source;
  • differential amplifier,
  • push-pull stage;
  • operational amplifier;
  • measuring amplifier.
