| Learning Outcomes |
Competences |
| Upon successful completion of the course, students are able to familiarize themselves with the scientific literature (in German or English) in a largely independent manner and to comprehend it. They have prepared their own presentation and delivered it to the group, whereby they have developed a confident presentation style and acquired the ability to present essential content in a structured manner. They can answer scientific questions about their presentation and formulate specific questions about the presentations of others.

Skills |
Knowledge |
Upon completing the course, students learn the following skills. They are able to
- understand, process and extract key information from English-language scientific literature on soft matter physics (k2);
- create and effectively communicate scientific presentations based on the extracted data (k5);
- actively participate in subject-specific scientific discussions, defending their own interpretations and findings with solid reasoning (k4).
|
Students acquire in-depth knowledge of
- fundamental principles from specialized areas of soft matter physics;
- current research topics and methods in this field.
