Upon completing the course, students learn the following skills. They are able to
- understand and explain basic concepts and phenomena of electricity and magnetism (k1/k2);
- formulate and interpret physical laws and theories in a precise and analytical manner (k3);
- transfer the principles of electricity and magnetism to other advanced physical problems (k3).

During the course, students acquire knowledge in the following areas and concepts of electricity and magnetism:
- field and potential (gravitation, Coulomb);
- electrostatics, electric currents;
- magnetic field, magnetostatics;
- fields of moving charges;
- electric and magnetic fields in matter, polarization;
- induction, alternating current circuits, Maxwell's equations;
