Criteria for evaluation For the course on Sustainable Business Practices, the evaluation criteria are designed to align with the interactive and practical methods used, such as business simulations, project-based learning, and case-based discussions.

Assessment will be based on a selection of the following components:

  1. The effectiveness of strategies developed during the course, which tests students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to realistic business scenarios
  2. The quality and impact of solutions devised in project-based tasks, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and feasibility
  3. The depth of analysis and insight demonstrated in case-based learning activities, particularly how well students can discuss and critique sustainability practices within real-world contexts
  4. Peer reviews and team feedback reflecting students’ collaboration skills and their ability to contribute to team dynamics effectively
  5. The quality of the documentation in the form of reports or similar outputs.

These criteria ensure that evaluations are comprehensive, reflecting both individual performance and collaborative efforts in applying sustainability practices.

Methods The course applies one or more of the following methods:

  • Business Simulation: Students engage in dynamic simulations that mimic real-world business environments, allowing them to test and refine sustainability strategies under simulated market conditions.
  • Project-Based Learning: This method involves students working on actual sustainability projects, either with real companies or through detailed scenarios, to develop practical skills and deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Case-Based Learning: Through analysing and discussing real-life business cases, students explore complex sustainability issues and decision-making processes, enhancing their analytical and critical thinking skills in team settings.
  • Corporate instructors/speakers: Managers from real companies contribute to teaching and/or mentoring and provide insights into real-world sustainability challenges and solutions.
