Learning Outcomes

  • LO1: Students are able to integrate different aspects of management consulting and change management and develop holistic consulting strategies that take into account both organizational and individual and team-related elements.
  • LO2: Students can critically evaluate different consulting approaches (e.g. specialist, humanistic-psychological and systemic-sociological consulting) and analyze their respective advantages and disadvantages in different organizational contexts and choose suitable approaches for specific consulting scenarios.

  • LO3: Students are able to plan consulting projects at the organizational level by selecting appropriate methods at the organizational, team and individual level to achieve specific goals.
  • LO4: Students can apply practical methods of team building and team development to form and develop effective teams in change processes.
  • LO5: Students can apply systemic problem-solving methods at the individual level to open up new perspectives on situations for themselves and others, to create more clarity and to create solutions.
Learning Outcomes

  • LO6: Students know the central challenges of management consulting at the organizational level and can describe the principles and practices of specialist consulting, humanistic-psychological and systemic-sociological organizational consulting.
  • LO7: Students understand the relevance of functioning teams in change projects. They know the central methods and techniques of team building and team development. They can explain how these methods are used to support change processes in teams.
  • LO8: Students know the basic principles and methods of systemic coaching and training design and can explain how these are used to support individual change processes.
Criteria for evaluation A total of 100 points can be achieved in this course.

  1. Active participation (individual work) in the workshop (max. 30 points)
  2. Presentation (group work) case study processing (max. 35 points)
  3. Individual engagement with the topic (individual work) through literature study and interviews with consultants (max. 25 points)
  4. Reflection paper (individual work): (max. 10 points)

Minimum requirement: 50% of the total points and the successful completion of each individual module

Feedback: The feedback on the students' assessed contributions includes group-specific and individual feedback during the workshop by the course leader and the peers. Guidelines for peer feedback are provided in the course and follow ethical guidelines.

Methods To achieve the teaching and learning objectives, different methods are used in the workshop format (similar to management training). The seminar focuses on the practical application of knowledge already acquired and is therefore geared towards problem-based and experience-oriented learning.
