  • LO1: Students can apply the acquired basic knowledge in an interdisciplinary manner: analyze and evaluate business models, understand relationships within companies, generate new ideas for innovating business models and argue for them with reference to the literature.

Learning Outcomes

  • LO6: Students expand and combine the concepts, models and methods from the introductory courses to individual business functions such as strategy, marketing, organization and innovation.
  • LO7: Students know models and methods for business model analysis and business model innovation as well as their organizational anchoring and implementation.
Criteria for evaluation A total of 240 points can be achieved in this course.

  • Argumentation paper (individual work) on selected content (max. 25 points)
  • Exam (individual work) on the underlying content of the IK (max. 75 points)
    It is possible to repeat this exam as part of a re-exam.
  • Seminar paper 1 (group work) to analyze the initial situation (max. 40 points)
  • Seminar paper 2 (group work) on further development / innovation (max. 40 points)
  • Presentation (group work) of the results including a short video contribution (max. 60 points)

Minimum requirement: 50% of the total points and 50% of the exam points

Feedback: Constructive feedback both within the course and on each individual written individual and group performance.

  • Interactive exercises in face-to-face and online format including reflection and feedback

    (Analysis including report with reference to the literature)
  • Innovation of business models from practice in small teams
    (Development including report, presentation and video)
