Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to confidently apply key concepts of business administration and will be able to place the specific teaching content taught in the follow-up and supplementary courses in a comprehensive (reference) framework.
They will be familiar with the perspective of important theoretical approaches in business administration and will also recognize the differences between secondary and university education systems in the analysis and treatment of business phenomena.

Learning Outcomes
- LO2: Students learn the basics of business administration and develop an understanding of the interactions between the central areas and between the company and its respective environments (especially the stakeholders).
- LO3: Students can explain the process of value creation and derive the basics of an integrated performance and financial system from it.
- LO4: Students understand the basic tasks of company management. They can formulate company goals and compare them from different (stakeholder) perspectives and critically question them in view of a variety of influencing factors. They are familiar with key terms of the management cycle (goals, planning, organization, control).
- LO5: Students understand the key features of services and their consequences for the creation of services.
- LO6: Students understand the influence of sectoral context factors on the management of an organization and are familiar with the key features of different types of companies (or forms of productive social organizations).
- LO7: Students can reproduce the central principles of selected theoretical approaches in business administration and draw conclusions from this knowledge with regard to concrete application examples.

- LO1: Students know key basic concepts and the most important sub-areas of business administration, they know about institutional differentiations in management and understand the perspectives of selected theoretical approaches in business administration.

Criteria for evaluation |
A total of 25 points can be achieved in the course by taking an exam. A minimum of 50% of the achievable points is required to receive a positive grade. If the required number of points is not achieved, there is the option of taking a re-examination (re-examination).
Feedback culture: The feedback includes individual feedback when viewing the exam (voluntary).

Lecture by the teacher (supported by slides and literature); Self-directed learning (self-study of basic literature); Support through elements of blended learning (Moodle); Illustration of the teaching content using case studies and application examples that are presented and discussed in the lecture; Solving a sample exam together with the students.
