                      - Students are familiar with core economic theories in the economics of education and child development and can apply those theories to analyse current issues in the field.
 - Students are familiar with the relevant empirical literature in the field.
 - Students understand econometric identification issues and are able to assess the strengths and limitations of empirical studies.
 - Students are able to assess educational policies by drawing on economic theory and a critical assessment of available empirical evidence.
 - Students are able to apply empirical methods to independently examine current issues and policies in the field.
