| Objectives |
After completing this course, students will be able to classify and evaluate digital instruments and phenomena of the digitalization in society with regard to both socio-economic and legal factors.

| Subject |
The subject of this course is the analysis of central legal institutions (e.g. fundamental rights, data protection law and liability law) based on selected aspects of the digital society:
- Digital communication
- Digital goods and their impact on economic life
- Autonomous systems (e.g. autonomous vehicles, medical pattern recognition systems)
- Digital state (e.g. freedom of information vs. protection of secrets)
- Data as a good vs. data protection
