Students know methods and procedures of symbolic artificial intelligence to explicitly represent the semantics of data and processes. They are able to apply semantic technologies alone or in combination with probabilistic and statistical methods of machine learning for the integration and exchange of data, for the composition and control of business processes and for the development and use of intelligent agents.
Subject
Methods and procedures of symbolic artificial intelligence, ontologies and selected ontology languages, knowledge graphs, nonprobabilistic and probabilistic reasoning, intelligent agents, symbolic vs non-symbolic artificial intelligence, combination of knowledge graphs and machine learning.

Lecture and exercise can be combined to one course.
