Objectives The students have language skills in a business context in German. In one option they start with level B1.1 and finish with level B2.2 (according to CEFR). In another option they start with level B1.2 and finish with level C1 (according to CEFR).

The first option includes completing the following courses:

  • KS German Communicative Skills Level B1.1 (3 ECTS)
  • KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 (3 ECTS)
  • KS Business German 2 Level B2.1 (3 ECTS)
  • KS German Business and Culture Level B2.2 (3 ECTS)

The second option includes completing the following courses:

  • KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 (3 ECTS)
  • KS Business German 2 Level B2.1 (3 ECTS)
  • KS German Business and Culture Level B2.2 (3 ECTS)
  • KS Academic and Business Language German Advanced C1 (3 ECTS)

The entry level for German as a business language is set at A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). However, if proof of a German level of B2 is provided, the second option starting with the KS Business German 1 Level B1.2 can be selected. At the first session of the first course a written test or an interview will take place to determine the entry level. The teacher might determine a different entry level from the entry level the student has chosen.

Subject The students have knowledge of reading, writing, listening and speaking in German and in a business context.
