Objectives |
By implementing and analyzing a digital communication system in Matlab/Python, students will have an in-depth understanding of the blocks of a digital communication system that were theoretically covered in the lecture.

Implementation and analysis of a digital communication system in Matlab/Python with the following focus:
- Symbol mapping/demapping
- Pulse shaping
- Optimal receiver (Viterbi algorithm)
- Equalizer
- Evaluation of the error performance
- Illustration and analysis of the constellation and eye diagram
- Extension to a multi-antenna communication system
