Detailed information |
Original study plan |
Master's programme Electronics and Information Technology (ELIT) 2023W |
Objectives |
Students know and understand the basics of power semiconductor devices and corresponding electric circuits. They know how to analyze respective operational performances and thus to evaluate and reason application areas and limits for adopting specific components and circuits. The students know and understand basics regarding the cooling of semiconductor devices and selected rectifier and converter topologies.
The level for considering the mentioned topics roughly corresponds to the relevant chapters in Specovius, Joachim: Grundkurs Leistungselektronik, 7. Auflage, Springer Verlag (2015) and Trzynadlowski, Andrzej M. (Ed.): Power Electronic Converters and Systems, 1st ed., IET, (2016).
