Original study plan |
Master's programme Mechatronics 2023W |
Objectives |
Students know and understand the basic scientific principles and special features of small electric drives, are able to create detailed models for these systems and develop control concepts from them. Students are able to understand and design efficiency-, speed-, current- and voltage-optimised control systems for these drives.
The level of mathematical modelling and analysis of the topics mentioned corresponds approximately to that given in the literature below.
|
Subject |
The combined course "Small Electric Drives" deals with low-power drives (<1kW), which are typically manufactured in large numbers at particularly low cost, and their special features.
Design, properties, applications, principle of operation, characteristic curves and parameters of all important types of small motors such as
- permanent magnet DC motors,
- brushless permanent magnet motors
- commutator series-wound motors (universal motors),
- AC asynchronous and synchronous motors
- Stepper motors
- Electromagnets
- electrodynamic linear and multi-coordinate drives
- piezo drives
are covered.
