Objectives |
Exercises on the most important concepts of mechanics and thermodynamics. Introduction to the scientific approach and methods of solving problems in physics. Application of these methods to specific physical systems.

Physical quantities and units; forces, kinematics and dynamics of mass points;
Newton's laws, gravitation, conservation laws for energy, momentum and angular momentum; Inertial systems, Galilei transformation; rigid and deformable bodies; oscillators; liquids and gases; fundamentals of thermodynamics, main laws of thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, entropy, thermodynamic cycles.

(1) number of successfully solved exercises and (2) quality of the presentation and participation in the exercise class.
