Objectives The methods in differential geometry are the basis for various applications in physics and computer aided geometric design (CAGD). In this lecture the necessary skills will be taught. In the exercises the knowledge will be deepened.
Subject Advanced subjects in surface theory: theorema egregium, inner geometry, special surfaces (ruled surfaces, developable surfaces), global surface theory (theorem of Gauss-Bonnet)
Criteria for evaluation compulsory attendance, presentations of the exercises
Methods The participants have to present the solved exercises on the blackboard.
