(*)Computational mathematics is not only interesting in its own right but becomes particularly powerful when it gets applied to other areas of science. Often, such applications require some knowledge of the application area, and therefore, we encourage our students to supplement their technical knowledge about computational mathematics by suitable courses from physics, computer science, or engineering.
