Objectives The major objective of this "Seminar on Surface- and Nanoanalytics" is to train the students in presenting experimental or theoretical findings and to disseminate these findings in a didactical and precise form. The talks are either 45 mins. or 90 mins, including discussions.

Subject Varying topics within the subject Surface- and Nano Analytics. The topic can be selected by the student from various suggestions, e.g.
a) linear and nonlinear optical response of surfaces
b) properties of steels and steel coatings
c) theoretical modelling of material science questions
d) electron microscopy and electron spectroscopy techniques.
Criteria for evaluation content and quality of the presentation.
Methods seminar presentations with varying content

Study material The required literature for each presentation will be provided.
