Objectives After successfully engaging with the topics of this course, the students will be able to

  • tackle complex, specific thermofluid dynamics problems using analytical, numerical and experimental approaches and methods,
  • coordinate and complete assigned tasks in a group environment,
  • hold presentations of their progress and findings on a regular basis and participate in group discussions.
Subject In-depth discussion of specific topics of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics Content changes annually to cover recent topics in the research field, e.g.

  • Fluid-Solid interaction
  • Lattice-Boltzmann methods
  • Large-Eddy simulation
Criteria for evaluation Participation, presentations, project report
Methods Topical preparation in groups, plenary discussion
Language German; if requested: English
